A Smorgasbord of Sh*t from Don't Give a Rat's Ass Central.

Dog Poet Transmitting.......

May your noses always be cold and wet.

Howdy Doody, the killer puppet clown was 'sworn in' for another term in recent days. By sworn in, I mean the Chief Injustice said to him at the conclusion of the farce, “Okay Fuckhead, get your bought and sold ass back into the Anal Office”; probably why it's oval. Yeah, there are all kinds of unpleasant specimens running around at the moment. This listing is not at all comprehensive.

The big question; what has been the big question, for a good while, is, “When are things going to change? Why are they going on so long? Why is nothing being done?” Well, that's 3 questions actually. I have no clear or clever answer to any of these. The dining table of the world has been turned into a Smorgasbord of Shit. It comes in various compositions and colors. Most of the edibles even taste slightly different from each other but they're all shit. Normal food is against the law, normal sex will soon be against the law and normal behavior is going to go from a misdemeanor to a felony. Honesty is going to be cataloged as a crime against Nature and Pederasty is being elevated to a legal requirement, similar to paying taxes.

I've been told the Kali Yuga is over. Apparently, the temporal zone hasn't gotten the memo yet. How can something be over if it is still happening? It must be one of those Zen things. Psychopathic behavior is still freewheeling down the boulevard of broken dreams and all those millions of urban dwellers living in “I don't Give a Rat's Ass Central” are walking down the street, waving their arms at invisible bugs. What these gestures are really communicating is, “I don't want to hear about it”.

They just want to be fed, get laid and have somewhere to live, while filling up their time, occupied with daydreams in the workplace and rhinestone entertainments everywhere else. You can't shake them awake. You can't reason with them, cause it's like trying to have a conversation with a somnambulist. What that gets you is walking into the same wall they do; that great big wall of silent indifference that waits ahead in all directions for the indifferent.

Mossad and the gentile goblin armies are not scaling back; no telling when they will publish the assumed names of these dark side cowboys. One of the most interesting and ironic puzzles of these last years is, why haven't there been any real terror events? We've had a bunch of false flag, Israel and her bitches, events but we have seen neither hide nor hair of any action coming out of the hot zones, where Israel and western forces are killing for profit, sport and armaments testing. You would think by now some enterprising easterners, who have had enough of the horrors visited upon them by the banker armies, would have blown some things up in all kinds of locations... nada.

History is full of all sorts of strange things. I'm passing familiar with this story but had never heard about the conclusions drawn in this article. It puts a whole new face on the episode and it sounds all too credible. I suspect there are many, many similar realities that permeate events and conditions which we seldom, if ever, hear about. Pretty much anything we are told is a lie or a half truth so, if you want to know what really happened, you have to dig deep or get a library card for the Hall of Akashic Records.

I was talking to Connie Lingle the other day. She's the sister of former Hawaiian governor, Linda Lingle, who was spawned from the same test tube as Janus Napolitano and she told me that her sister told her that an alien invasion was coming this year. I reminded her that external invasions are not the bigger problem. It's the internal invasions that are causing all of the problems. People with no sense of self are being telepathically hijacked and evicted from their corporal homes, or completely subdued by lower astral monsters from the inner planes. That's the reason there are so many bad TV shows, movies and music. No-one human would watch or listen to any of these but definitely, other, undesirable life forms would. So... if you're trying to figure out what it all means, regardless of whether you are named Alfie or not, this should explain it to you. I've taken my Phaser off of stun. It's the smart move. Even though me and smart moves adds up to some kind of oxymoron, I am trying to quit; no shit.

I know there are people out there who say, “He can't be any kind of a bonafide guru, he uses bad language." Actually my language is a great deal better that the ordinary school kid. Ordinary would mean below average because average is now below ordinary and ordinary doesn't come around much anymore in any case. Well, it just so happens that I have run into VERY high beings who use this sort of language. One of them was sporting a notable state of tumescence behind his khaki chino pants at the time in a kind of joie de vivre way. I'm guessing life (his life) really turned him on. Lao Tzu talks about being firm all day and filled with vigor. I think that has to be what it was; hopefully it wasn't just that he was attracted to me (grin) and a big “I'm kidding”, in case you happen to be reading this.

Moving right along, I'm going to Varanasi and then the Kumbha Mela in about a month, shortly after a visiting guest has finished his visit. I've been given to understand that I am going to meet someone or more than one, who are going to totally transform my life, so as to make me nearly unrecognizable. Well, I am already unrecognizable to myself (grin) but it is something to think about and I am accompanied by a disconcerting awe, through the length of my days as if some portion of myself is all too aware of this. Abul pointed out to me yesterday that this is a Maha-Maha Kumbha that only comes around every 24 years. You get a Maha Kumbha every 12 years. So this one is the Big Daddy of Big Daddys; would that make it a Mack Daddy?

Well, I am looking forward, while also whistling past the graveyard, in a recurrent micro shiver of anticipation to personal transformation because, come this summer, after I've had my recording session with Old-Boy in the UK, I do not presently know where I will be living; where or with whom, come summer. Certainly the Cosmos knows but all is quiet on the Visible Front, in terms of information. Maybe options are still being juggled and sorted. I've been invited to Ecuador, Australia, New Zealand and some other places but they are far away and involve a severing of all familiar associations. Part of me really wants to stay in Europe and I have friends there that definitely do not want me to leave. I've also made contacts here that have promised to expedite a ten year visa for me. They know the rubber stamp guys.

For some years now, the reader has been getting a collage-origami of my metaphysical take on things; well, it's not my take as much as a gurgitation of things I hear with the inner ear. I doubt very many readers are familiar with Aghora. I just finished a book by Robert Svoboda (I had already read one book by him) that chronicles the life of his teacher, Vimalananda. The book is called “Aghora at the Left Hand of God”. The similarity between many things said in this book and things I have spoken about over the years is interesting. In some cases there are exact quotes, although I never read this book until yesterday. There are events and conditions described in this book that go beyond anything most of us have ever encountered, yet they are all true, or I believe them to be. It shows you just how amazing and fascinating India can be. I am not an Aghori and have no intention of becoming one. My tendency toward instability and the rigorous requirements of this discipline, preclude my ever being so engaged. It would be a disaster and I am resigned to simple Bhakti because that is all I can safely manage, in hope of the jnana that might show up, we hope. I recommend you order this book from Amazon right away. It is a wild ride and a riveting read. You are definitely going to have to suspend all disbelief, I assure you.

I do not know what to make of my situation here. Powerful forces are impacting on me at all times. I can manage this better now. In the beginning it was real touch and go. Certain things I have engaged in for many years are now on their way out and this will bring me a much greater sense of vitality and clarity, along with an increased stability of mind, as well as a cleansing and strengthening of the nerve currents. I had planned on these things at some point. Then the point showed up all by itself.

I hope you will read and explore the links concerning Varanasi and Kumbha Mela. There is some fascinating information in them. However, reading the book I have recommended will astonish and astound you. It will certainly show anyone who reads it just how little they know and it will surely dispel certain egocentric assumptions we have about ourselves. Some may be turned off by the fact that this man is an expression of the Left Hand Path but the meaning and implications of that here are entirely different than elsewhere and so are the practitioners. This man does not come off as you might expect and the book will also grant you a much greater perception of what siddhis are and what they can do. I am not myself after these things though there are many times I wished I had some (grin).

Alright, enough for today. Let's see if I can get a radio show together now.

End Transmission.......

Polio Threatens Nigeria After Progress
UNICEF has detected 20 new polio cases in northern Nigeria. These cases threaten to erase the substantial progress Nigeria has made in eliminating the disease. The country reduced polio deaths from 338 to 21 from between 2009 and 2010, but a wild-type poliovirus has now bed reported in six Nigerian state.

In 2003, Kano state refused to participate in a polio vaccination campaign after a few Muslim leaders stated the vaccines were actually anti-fertility drugs. Eventually health workers were able to allay the fears of parents. Then in 2005, 69 cases of polio were found to be due to the live virus in the oral vaccine drop, triggering a new wave of suspicion and fear of vaccination. The World Health Organization has worked closely with local leaders to achieve a high rate of vaccination and drop Kano state’s polio case count to only 1 in 2010. The new cases are in Borno, Jigawa, Kano, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Yobe.  WHO has pledged to eliminate polio worldwide by 2012, a goal that will now be even harder to achieve.

Nodding Syndrome in South Sudan
A mysterious disease continues to grow in three African countries, including recently independent South Sudan. Nodding syndrome, named for the uncontrollable nodding that occurs, impairs physical growth, cognitive development and ultimately leads to premature death The characteristic nodding arises from seizures that cause lapses in neck muscle tone, letting the head fall forward. Seizures appear to be triggered by the act of chewing; thus, children have difficulty eating and eventually suffer from malnutrition and stunted growth. The disease is progressive and fatal, usually first appearing between ages 5 and 15.

Though first documented in 1962, the cause of nodding syndrome remains elusive. Experts have theorized environmental causes (such as toxic residue from ammunition in war zones), genetic factors, or dietary customs are to blame. Other possibilities include Onchocerca volvulus, the parasite responsible for river blindness, or a vitamin deficiency.  The disease also exists in parts of Uganda and Tanzania but no linking factors have yet been found between the countries, meaning experts are still unsure of the true cause of nodding syndrome.

Alcohol Ban in Ecuador After Poisoning
The Ecuadorian government has imposed a 72-hour ban on the purchase, sale or consumption of alcohol. After drinking adulterated alcohol, 21 people have died and  105 people are receiving medical treatment. Los Rios province has seen 19 deaths, while Tungurahua ans Azuay provinces have reported one death each. Public Health Minister, David Chiriboga reported that investigators analyzed 28 barrels of alcohol (each with 55 gallons) and found methanol, a toxic alcohol. Methanol is produced if the alcohol is not distilled properly.

Some methanol poisoning symptoms include abdominal pain, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting and also difficulty breathing. Although these symptoms can also be confused with drinking too much, it is advised that anyone in Ecuador experiencing such symptoms be aware that it may be due to methanol poisoning.

Chiriboga hopes that the 72-hour ban will give the government enough time to discover the source of this poisoning and contain it. Health officials encourage anyone who feels nausea or experiences vomiting to immediately seek medical attention in order to prevent the situation from spiraling even more out of control.

Book Review: How to Cut Your Grocery Bill in Half with America's Cheapest Family

To give me some ideas to make it through my pantry challenge, I read How to Cut Your Grocery Bill in Half with America's Cheapest Family: So Many Innovative Strategies You Won't Have to Cut Coupons by Steve and Annette Economides. I enjoyed reading it. It has lots of great suggestions, even if sometimes it's a little on the cheesy side. I love that the authors emphasize that your time is at least as valuable as your money. They spend $350 each month feeding their large family, and they don't do it by hitting the loss leaders at 6 grocery stores per week. The strategies that they use work for them because they provide them with more time with their family. And their basic suggestions aren't new or revolutionary, but they do elaborate with lots of examples that have worked for them and other families who read their blog.
  • Have a plan- plan your grocery list, plan your meals, plan your money
  • Look at ads, then coupon and price match
  • Stock up on good deals
  • Shop once per month
  • Cook once per month & freeze multiple meals
  • Get your family involved
  • Organize your kitchen/pantry/freezer in a way that makes shopping & cooking efficient
  • Learn to cook and eat at home
  • Garden
That's the basic premise of their book. These down-to-earth ideas are all things that we have heard before, but I think the key that really brings it all together is having a plan. This is true when it comes to most things, whether you're talking about feeding your family, saving for college or running a business. You have to decide that your are going to save money on your groceries and how you are going to do it.
At the end of every chapter they have suggestions for which ever level you're at. If you're a beginner there are suggestions for you, there are suggestions for those with some experience who are trying to do better and then there are even tips for the experts. In one of the book reviews I read, someone complained that all of the ideas in this book were great if you have a large family, but irrelevant for most people. I have to disagree with that. They have suggestions that work for the young, old and in between. There are ideas that can work if you live by yourself or are part of a family of 12. You just have to pick out the ideas that are relevant to your situation.
Here are some of my favorite tips from the book:
  • Buy produce in bags, you get more for your money. Produce bags have to be a certain minimum weight, but often weigh more than that and are usually cheaper per pound than loose produce.
  • Share recipes with friends to get new cooking ideas.
  • Put a small plastic basket in your cart where you put all of your "impulse buys". Before you get to the check-out evaluate if you really need any or all of those items.
  • Picky eaters can easily sabotage frugality. Find creative ways to get them to eat what the rest of the family is eating.

How to Prevent Typhoid Fever when You're Traveling

To contact us Click HERE
Typhoid Fever is a dangerous illness that can cause severe sickness and even death if left untreated. Typhoid is caused by a bacteria and is transmitted by eating or drinking something that has come in contact with an infected person. This article will tell you how to prevent typhoid when you're traveling.

Steps

Prevention
  1. Get vaccinated at least 1-2 weeks before you are going to travel. There are two vaccines available in the U.S. Talk to your doctor about which one is right for you.
    • Get a booster if it has been several years since you have been inoculated. Know that the existing vaccines against typhoid are not 100 percent effective. Other precautions listed below should also be taken as well.
  2. Drink bottled water (preferably carbonated) or have water boil until there are big bubbles in the pot for at least a minute.
  3. Avoid ice unless you know for sure that it is made from bottled or boiled water. You should also stay away from popsicles and slushie type drinks. They could have been made with contaminated water.
  4. Eat thoroughly cooked foods. If possible, they should still have steam coming off of them.
  5. Avoid uncooked vegetables and fruits that cannot be peeled. These foods can be very hard to decontaminate.
    • Always peel raw fruits and vegetables yourself. Wash your hands vigorously with soap and bottled water first. Do not eat the peels.
  6. Stay away from food and drinks from street vendors. Conditions are not usually very sanitary on the street.
  7. Wash your hands frequently with bottled water or a hand sanitizer if clean water isn't available, especially before and after meals.
Symptoms of Typhoid
  1. Be aware of the symptoms of typhoid fever. Prevention is the best defense, but sometimes you can get sick despite your best efforts to avert it.
    • The most common symptoms of typhoid fever are a sustained high fever between 102∞ to 104∞F (38∞ to 40∞C), fatigue, stomach pain, and lack of appetite. Sometimes a pink-colored rash can appear.
  2. Seek immediate medical attention if you suspect typhoid fever. If you are overseas, call the U.S. consulate to find recommended doctors in the area.

Next week is a big week for our family. Dylan is going to be baptized and I am getting so excited. I really want to make it special for him.  He is such a great kid and has such a strong desire to do what is right and to follow Heavenly Father's Commandments.
I can't tell you how many times in the past week he has told me that he is praying for me to feel better. He is really good about praying. I don't think that he and I have missed one morning this year that we haven't prayed together. Well except the one's that I was still in bed and Scott got the kids out the door. I fail as a mother quite a bit, but those morning prayer's go a long way.
Dylan, I sure love You!!!
I made these images to frame side by side for his bedroom.

Happy Pioneer Day!
I can hardly stand waiting for Pioneer Day. July is the best month ever. Not only do we get to celebrate Our Country's Independence, but we get to celebrate the entry of Brigham Young and the first group of Mormon pioneers into the Great Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847.
Oh, how I love the Pioneers. I love their faith, their strength, their testimonies, their legacy and their stories.
My all time favorite Novel I've ready about the Pioneers is The Fire & The Covenant by Gerald N. Lund.

If you haven't read this book you MUST!!! It was SO AMAZING. Absolutely a fabulous book.
And I am currently about 100 pages away from finishing The Winds And The Waves by Dean Hughes. I am so excited to be reading this book on Pioneer Day. I was hoping to be able to finish it today, but I'm thinking that I am going to be too busy taking the kids to our Ward's Pioneer Day Celebration. I even bought a bike yesterday and I'm hoping to ride with the kids to the party.

I am enjoying this book so much, and the good news is that it is the first book in the new series called Come To Zion. The bad news is that the 2nd book doesn't come out until next summer. I hate waiting!!! Do you like reading Novel's about church history as much as I do? Seriously I can't get enough!
I also read a great article on Dean Hughes today and you can find it {here}. The article discuses Dean Hughes research that does for writing the books, a little about the books and more about Dean. Really interesting.
Kate and I snuggled up on the couch on Sunday night and watched 17 Miracles again together. I cry my eyes out every time I watch it, it never gets old. I feel such a gratitude for the sacrifices made by the pioneers who came before me! I am humbled so much by their faith, service and humility. I am lucky that my children have two of their own pioneers, their grandpa's, to look up to. Both of their grandpa's were converts to the church and are incredible examples of faithful, righteous priesthood holders. Love you Dad and Blake!

Dear Microsoft

I am sorry to say this but Windows 8 is one of the worst business decision you have made (beside Vista).  I have used Windows since 3.1 when it was a mere shell.  Windows 8 is so convoluted that several veterans such as myself cannot seem to figure it out.   Simple tasks such as creating a shortcut for you mail program are now so far removed from previous conventions that we are returning the system and my friend is buying a Mac instead.

Windows 8 strikes me as nothing more than an attempt to hide the lack of new features by obfuscating the OS look and feel so users are forced to re learn everything.  I would recommend you follow the lead of the genius who allowed the Control Panel to revert to "classic" look and feel.

The answer is my friend is now returning his new computer and shelling out an additional $500 to buy a Mac.

BC Conservative Party

I am a BC Conservative Party member.  That is correct.  Moi!  Why did I choose this party over the Liberals and the NDP?  Simple.  I read their mandate and it makes sense for British Columbia.  I also respect the people they are running in the next Provincial election.  The  BC Conservative Party's guiding principles are easy to believe in.

The Party is founded on and will be guided in its policy formation by the following principles:

1. A belief in clearly defined public policies and programs that are affordable,
effective and accountable to the people.   To me transparency in government is something that I stand for.  Any politician must be accountable to the public.

2. The BC Conservative Party believe in managing with the highest standards of integrity and transparency.  Again, an extension of the first principle, integrity in government must be absolute.  When you enter politics, you must accept from day one that you will make choices that offend some.  To be guided by an attempt to please everyone is ill-conceived.  As soon as pandering begins, integrity ends.  How do I know anything about integrity?  It started when I was very young and a family friend who was a politician influenced my parents.  He influenced the lives of my great Uncle Olaf Turnbull, who himself was an MLA in Saskatchewan for the Canadian Commonwealth Federation or CCF.  This family friend became the Saskatchewan CCF's leader and then the seventh Premier of Saskatchewan from 1944 to 1961. His government was the first democratic socialist government in North America, and it introduced the continent's first single payer, universal health care program.   He did this with integrity and conviction.  This was done before I was born but we heard stories of the man who had a dream, a vision and would not let public influence sway him from that dream.   That man was named Tommy Douglas.   He later was named The greatest Canadian by a CBC television program in 2004.  Here he is with my mother around 1970 (left), a photo of himself he gave to my late grandfather and a letter on the right he wrote to my grandmother expressing his grief that Russ had passed.  He also spoke very highly of my late grandfather, another man, like my father, of integrity beyond reproach.

3. British Columbians are entitled to full knowledge of services rendered.  Again, full transparency in government is a right of those who pay for it (you and I).

4. The BC Conservative Party believe in the rights and responsibilities of all British Columbians and that governments at all levels are in place to serve and respect all individuals and their families, including freedom from unnecessary laws and regulations.  A belief that government is fundamentally in existence to serve the people is paramount to the parties mandate.  Part of that mandate is to respect the rights of the individual.

5.  Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) should be empowered to best represent the interests of their Constituents.

6. A belief in restructuring the taxation system to maximize benefits for the greatest
number of BC citizens.

7. A belief in a competitive free enterprise system as the basis for prosperity and growth.
protection and management of our environment and natural resources to optimize
benefits now and into the future.  I am an environmentalist and the BC Conservatives are committed to the protection and management of our environment.  Nobody in their right mind would want to destroy our province's beauty.

Carbon Tax Inneffective?

To contact us Click HERE
I am an environmentalist.  I like BC and want to help change the world through smarter conservation of energy and better programs to reduce energy consumption.  One thing that I found today deeply disturbs me.  It turns out that the Carbon Tax is nothing more than a money grab.  The math behind the alleged 4.5% reduction between 2007 and 2010 does not account for the general economy shrinking.  In fact, the 2012 liberal budget in British Columbia actually concluded that GHG's are on the rise and we will produce more.

Carbon tax – as announced in Budget 2008, the carbon tax rate per tonne of CO2- equivalent will increase by $5 each year to $30 per tonne by July 1, 2012. The forecast
assumes that purchased volumes of natural gas will grow by 2.0 per cent annually,
while consumption of gasoline is expected to remain constant. Revenue is expected
to increase in line with these higher rates and assumed volume growth.
So in short, the Carbon Tax needs to be scrapped.  It needs to be replaced with effective programs to actually reduce green house gas emissions and other forms of energy (a mantra I have been chanting for decades now thank you).  The current Carbon Tax only adds costs to everything we buy and puts our businesses at a disadvantage in a global economy.

Time for some common sense.

Only The Strong Survive

The past week has been a difficult one.
Like...really, really hard.

Shouldn't there be a rule that mom's and kids cannot be sick at the same time.

Me: Double Ear Infection, Double Ear-drum rupture, Pink Eye, Upper Respiratory/sinus infection, Cough.
Wyatt: Double Ear Infection, Pink Eye, Upper Respiratory/sinus infection, Cough.
Sawyer: Pink Eye, Upper Respiratory/sinus infection, Cough.
Dylan: Upper Respiratory/sinus infection, Cough.
Kate: Cough.

Scott: NOTHING. He is the Last Man Standing. (Lucky Husband with the Immune System of Steel)

Last week was suppose to be rocking.

Wyatt Turned 1.
Valentine's Day.
Dylan Turned 8.
Lance & Terry came to town.

I did my best, but I was SO miserable.

The babies and I are on Anti-biotics but we still feel terrible. The best I felt all week was after I took Mucinex-D last night. My friend Shawri talked me into it and it really did make me feel better. Not even drinking the bottle of NyQuil helped this girl. Bummer.

It is so hard trying to take care of a family when you are sick. BOOOO.  Not to mention I am pretty much deaf right now and can't hear a thing. Not the phone ring, not the baby cry, not the kids fighting. And I missed another week of Church which really stinks. I so needed it yesterday. Scott & Dylan were the only one's that made it.

The good new is that the world goes on and somehow we make it through and forget it all. And I'm thinking a little bit of Spring could do that for me right about now.

And...

I miss the gym. (Crazy)
